What Is Reverse Geocoding?

Reverse geocoding is the process of converting geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) into a human-readable postal address. It's the inverse of forward geocoding, which converts text addresses into numeric coordinates.

This tool uses OpenStreetMap's Nominatim index to identify the closest building, road, and administrative boundary to the queried coordinates.
